We've seen (and loved!) the cut-out dress trend for awhile now, but we found a new twist (heh) on the summery staple—a frock that's tied right in the middle. Every Thursday we post the top style bloggers of the week, but today we decided to do something a little different. When we heard the news that Palladium Boots was teaming up with Lookbook to feature fashion bloggers wearing their new collection of kicks, we couldn't resist the opportunity to show how these cool girls styled their springy shoes. Palladium is introducing their new LITE Technology line, which is a collection of ultra lightweight shoes perfect for summer—we're talking boots that weigh less than 10 ounces here, folks. Kiiind of awesome. The Palladium team finally found a way to sport boots all summer long, and we're so on board. But let's look at how the bloggers styled their kicks, shall we?

When spring sets in, we're always looking for fun, new ways to spice up our wardrobe for the new season. This year we're absolutely in love with the dainty detail of scalloped-edge shorts. The simple, round ridges along the hem add an extra touch of texture to any ensemble, and the treatment can be done on all types of fabrics. We particularly love when scalloped shorts are the statement piece of the ensemble in a bright, bold color, but if you opt for a softer hue, it can be a delicate, hidden treat! We're all used to same ol' same ol' statement pieces, but what about pants? It's a bit harder to pull off, but we think printed leggings are an amazing way to stand out in a non-traditional way. Plus, it's springtime! You can bust out all the bright colors and summery prints you want since the weather's warming up and pair it with a solid crop top or loose blouse. The jean jacket has been a wardrobe staple for ages, so it's no surprise that it's back in season once again! This spring we're really loving all the lighter denim we're seeing in a variety of cuts and styles. The fashion bloggers are sporting everything from oversized '80s pieces to tighter-fit motorcycle jackets, and since you'll (probably!) be sporting lighter pastel-based shades this time of year, we think it adds a bit of warmth to an outfit without looking as harsh and heavy as a leather jacket. Move over '90s floral prints, there's a new guy in town. This season is filled with tons of tropical-inspired designs, which includes everything from Hawaiian prints to palm leaves. The first tropical prints appeared in Stella McCartney's spring 2012 line AND in the highly sought-after Versace for H&M collection. Since then, we've seen the design take over large retailers like Topshop and ASOS, and it's showing no signs of slowing. We found three bloggers who sported tropical prints in oh-so-cool ways that we NEED to try ASAP. See? Hawaiian prints aren't just for your dad's button up shirts anymore!

If you want to add just a touch of leather to any spring ensemble, try the super on-trend leather sleeve jacket. These contrast sleeve coats come in a variety of forms—military jackets, blazers, wool peacoats, varsity jackets, anything! I mean, who could forget that Alexander Wang suede and leather motorcycle number that changed the sleeve game up forever? Not us! Yep, it's true—mixed prints are baaacccck. They made their debut at NYFW in the fall, and the pattern-on-pattern look is still going strong.
