Style has moved! come with us to mtv news »

Much to the dismay of naysayers/trend forecasters everywhere, nail art ain't goin' nowhere, y'all. In fact, I'm happy to report that it's alive and well and majorly #THRIVING on the Fall 2014 runways at New York Fashion Week. Nail artists pulled out all the stops this season with a brand new class of innovative designs, patterns, textures, and shapes. If you're still struggling to paint both hands without going through an entire bag of cotton balls and polish remover (no shade), you might want to take some notes. Unless you're into the finger-dipped trend, in which case, carry on. Check out our picks for the most creative nail art designs from New York Fashion Week after the jump!

Here we have a small sampling of the nail art The Blonds sent down the runway for their Fall 2014 show. Welp, that'll do it, ladies and gentlemen. I think we can all go home now. They won nails. Congrats, CND. I don't even know how to describe half of these, because they are SO insanely detailed. Also because there are SO many. Like, there's at least fifteen in plain view. And that's not even counting those pink pointy suckers (which would no doubt get flagged as weapons by the T.S.A.). Just when we thought it couldn't get more diverse than last season's show, The Blonds went and outdid themselves. Literally.

Cushnie et Ochs called in their BFF manicurist, Pattie Yankee, for this stiletto-tipped, iridescent, oil-slick paint job that created a holographic illusion in certain kinds of light. HOLOGRAPHS, people. On fingernails. What's next? A life-size projection of a shirtless 2Pac performing the show's soundtrack? (Hey, it could happen.)

Frank Ocean

In a little under a year, Frank Ocean has catapulted from being relatively unknown to releasing a buzzworthy debut album (Channel Orange) and garnering Grammy accolades for said release. But it's not just the music world that Ocean is dominating, this past year, he's also been getting love from the fashion community, hobnobbing with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, posing for GQ magazine, attending his first-ever Fashion Week in Paris, and NOW, he's starring in his first ever fashion campaign. Frank is lending his smiling eyes and pearly whites to Band of Outsiders for the label's newest Polaroid campaign (previous stars have included Michelle Williams, Harry Potter dudes Rupert Grint and Tom Felton, and Kirsten Dunst), and the result is devastatingly heart-warming.

We know Halloween hasn't even happened yet, but OMG, WHEN WILL CHRISTMAS BE HERE? *throws fake snow in the air* In July, we were so stoked when got wind of supersized retailers Target and Neiman Marcus collabing on a MEGA holiday collection, and guess what? A male model chilling during Band of Outsider's 60-hour show.
Photo: Courtesy of Band of Outsiders

What, Ed Westwick strutting the Men's Fashion Week runway in a teeny mustache? Been there, done that. It takes more than a star and some facial hair to impress this crowd. When it comes to the Band of Outsiders 2013 collection, let's just say the brand has found its own way to inject some creative spice into the shows. Scott Sternberg's label is swapping celebrity catwalk cameos for the longest fashion presentation...ever. Starting today, a male model will live in a Parisian art gallery for a grand total of 60 hours (that's almost 3 days!), only ducking out every 90 minutes to switch outfits. The stunt sounds a little bit like a very high fashion version of Big Brother, but we're not complaining. Passersby can check out B of O's perfectly tailored suits in the glass windows (sans invite), and those who didn't score a trip to Paris can check it out via livestream. Talk about all access.

OH MUH GAHHHHHHH! Please hold while we let out the BIGGEST squeal-meets-exhale full-bodied explosion of relief because Justin Bieber has finally (FINALLY!!!!) released his music video for "Boyfriend". Yes, Stylettes, after about a BAZILLION teasers and sneak peeks, we're actually permitted to watch the full-length premier video from The Biebs' sophomore album, Believe. While the video has a considerably different tone than what we were led to believe from his preview clips (also, HEY where was the fire from the second teaser?!?!!) and comparisons to *NSYNC's "Girlfriend" short aside, we still really love it. PLUS, there's just enough fun fashion to satiate our thrist for music video style. Walk with us as we dissect the video look by look!

No other pop star in recent years has made jackets such a statement staple quite like Justin Bieber. From leather moto silhouettes to snack-hiding mega-cowl neck styles, Bieber switches them up faster than Willow Smith changes her hair, each iteration more covetable than the next. Naturally, Le Biebs is rocking a sweet jacket for his newest music video, "Boyfriend," and being the fashion vultures that we are, we HAD to find out where he copped it.

Models walk the runway at the Boy and Girl by Band of Outsiders Fall 2012 fashion show on Feb. 11 in New York.
Photo: Getty Images

Boy. by Band of Outsiders brought the wild, wild west straight to New York Fashion Week. The desert rock formation runway backdrop paired with endless Western-inspired pieces took us back to the late 1800s when women sported long, demure dresses on the open frontier. The collection took bits and pieces of old America mixed with fresh silhouettes and on-trend accessories. The first selection of dresses were straight from Little House on the Prairie. The modest, generously cut midi-to-floor-grazing gowns were covered in all types of ditsy floral prints. This off-the-shoulder, layered ruffled number feels oddly city-ready when paired with gray socks and black booties. In another look, Boy. by Band of Outsiders gives the traditional poncho an updated feel with a sleek cut, exposed zipper, and matching body-con '60s-inspired skirt. In the last menswear-inspired look, a model sports a late 19th century style jacket with long coattails and furry GORILLA SLEEVES. (This is such a huge fall trend we can barely handle it. See: Jason Wu). The ruffled, high collar beige blouse and cropped cream pants feel fresh paired with caramel-colored peep-toe booties.

We are smitten with two very specific things: Boy. by Band of Outsiders and Michelle Williams. Put the two together for spring 2012, and we're in full body shutdown mode. As we're about to fall down the magical rabbit hole that is New York Fashion Week starting, oh, tomorrow (yes, it's already here, folks!), we're thrilled that it all kicks off with this new campaign from the Los Angeles-based clothing line. Band of Outsiders always chooses someone special to front its latest collection (like Rupert Grint and Tom Felton or Kirsten Dunst), and it was only a matter of time before Ms. Williams made her way onto the brand's vintage Polaroid film. Fitting together like a match made in diffused, early '60s Jean Seberg-esque heaven, we're completely in love with everything about this. Also, OMG, TOILE.

Boy. by Band of Outsiders pre-fall 2012 collection.
Photo: Courtesy of Band of Outsiders

Chances are, if you're releasing a collection inspired by '70s style icon Diane Keaton circa her Woody Allen-directed classic Manhattan, we are gonna be 100 percent on board.

The 2012 pre-fall offerings from Boy. by Band Of Outsiders are well-tailored and feature tons of preppy meets party-girl pieces. (Note to the youf: If you haven't seen Manhattan, add that to the top of your Netflix queue immediately. And if "Diane Keaton" doesn't ring a bell for some of you, well, look her up and tell a friend. She's major.).

Rupert Grint and Tom Felton for Band of Outsiders.
Photo: Courtesy of Band of Outsiders

BREAKING: The Houses of Gryffindor and Slytherin have buried their wand-hatchets and joined forces ALL IN THE NAME OF FASHION! That's right, Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy—errrr, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton—are the new faces of the Band of Outsiders fall collection campaign. Shot in L.A.'s World Famous Magic Castle (HEH HEH), the two make-believe wizards (how DARE we even type that...they're WIZARD MASTERS!) wear all matters of preppy finery, from tailored suits to parkas and fisherman's caps, and sometimes do so while wielding wands and swords. We don't know what transpired post-Harry Potter, but these two sorcery superstars must have concocted some sort of potion or something because they have both matured RAPIDLY and are looking, shall we say, MAGICAL in these photos.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
