Louisa Rose Allen, AKA Foxes.

Foxes might not be a household name in America quite yet, but this 22-year-old London musician is already making a major splash overseas with her soulful brand of sweeping anthemic pop. Laced with futuristic-sounding beats, lush melodies, and a soaring sing-along chorus, her latest single "White Coats" has already cemented its place on our summer soundtrack--and deserves a slot on yours, too. The song's accompanying video is equally as gorgeous, with Foxes (whose real name is Louisa Rose Allen) dropping off emotional baggage in London, all the while decked out in a vintage floral jumpsuit. While on the road promoting her new Warrior EP, the singer filled us in on her mishmash style, hat collection, and why she'll never perform in heels.
Miley does her best duck lips with her new blond hair, skates down an LA street like a pro.
Photo: Miley Cyrus' Twitter/Splash News
It's been a pretty serious couple of months for Miley Cyrus, between her engagement to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and subsequent talk about a baby in the not too distant future, the 19 year old singer-slash-actress has been growing up fast, to say the least. Sartorially, however, Miley's been right on track, rocking short shorts, graphic rompers and even some fresh ink. According to her Twitter, Miley's been on a bit of a skateboarding jag as of late, mentioning Vans (saying they're "So dope. So Classic."), Chanel decks (uh, wut?!), and debuting a new beach babe blond hairstyle. Is Miley just getting deeper into the California lifestyle, or are we going to be adding another hyphen followed by 'skater' to this renaissance woman's pedigree?
Lady Gaga shows off her freshly dyed 'do.
Photo: Via @LadyGaga's Twitter
Lady Gaga's been having a GRAND ol' fashiony time while touring overseas for her Born This Way Ball tour—she's already sported a super long pink, yellow and purple ponytail, a retro bouffant, and sky-high pigtails. But this morning she ditched all the wigs and extensions to debut a brand new 'do on Twitter! She said, "It's official. After a few wigs and toners, I'm finally: A Fox Blonde." We love this platinum to strawberry blonde look for a more subtle take on the ombre trend. Also, WE FINALLY GET TO SEE GAGA'S REAL HAIR. *cries* It's a rare sighting indeed, but we are sososo happy her strands are as gorge and healthy as ever.

What do you get when you gather high fashion, le cinema, downtown lovelies, and a gazillion roses into one stylishly spring bouquet? A Chanel-hosted party in honor of the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC! The "Artists Dinner" brought a bevy of bright young things to the Odeon restaurant in Tribeca to celebrate all things frock, film, and floral—literally—and everyone from actresses Camilla Belle and Liv Tyler to model Poppy Delevigne were there to toast a warmer season in their best flower-printed finery. What's more, these ladies rocked their girly ensembles with the freshest scents of gnarliness.
Karl Lagerfeld and Florence Welch at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 4.

To be honest I was a little apprehensive about meeting Florence Welch . There's a certain gravitas about her music because it makes me feel actual, live emotions which is suboptimal because it makes my cheeks get all flushed and pins and needles-ish. I thought when I interviewed her she'd speak in song and it would come out of her head all misty and mythological and in cursive strings of English moss because if there's anyone who's a human unicorn besides Bjork, it would be her.
If you've been keeping up with the fash-news, you'll know that Karl Lagerfeld is obsessed with her and when he's not putting his pointy Dior-Homme-shod foot directly in his non-food-eating mouth for insensitive quips about outrageously talented zaftig singers who love a smokey eye, the kaiser is a fairly reliable litmus test for who is spectacular (also see: Azealia Banks). Florence even performed at his underwater-themed Spring 2012 Paris Fashion Week for Chanel, emerging from a clam shell like Botticelli's Venus.
The rad thing about Florence is that she's hilarious. You'd suspected she might have an awesome sense of humor because she covers some truly unorthodox music brilliantly (ie: Drizzy songs) but that same sense of whimsy and charm carries to her attitude about fashion. In this interview she discusses how Karl is surprisingly tactile and easy to hug (WHUT?) and what was going through her mind during the surreal time span in which she had to wait for her cue to perform from a shell in the Grand Palais at 9 in the morning in Paris. She's tickled by the fine line between what constitutes a ladies' suit and what are just printed dude's pajamas and she loves herself a Ralph Lauren smoking slipper. All in all, she was super fun to chat with and we're stoked that on Sunday, April 8, we'll get to see a Florence and the Machine "Unplugged" performance at 11 p.m. ET on MTV and Unplugged.MTV.com. She rules. IRL, on-camera, Unplugged, basically all the time and everywhere. Check out a sneak peek of her performance as well. Do eeet.

In the reigning downtown New York style goddess department, there's really no competition when it comes to my girl, Lissy Trullie. Fashion-y freaks have been obsessed with the former model/janitor since the 2009 release of her guitar-riff heavy, mega booty kicking EP, Self-Taught Learner. (Psssst...Teach us how to rock your killer pixie cut, girl. Seriously.)
The Olsens-circa-NYU-days used to frequent the Beatrice Inn and that's where I first turned straight (jkjk!) for Trullie (and her TO-DIE- FOR bowler hat). She was being all kinds of punk perfection perched behind the DJ booth blasting rock n' roll and hardcore rap jams for the sweating, bouncing, vodka-spilling hipsters in shredded-skinnies below. Gahhh, yes, the collegiate glory days when overpriced vodka sodas (thx Mom!) and cigarette smoke replaced steam facials as my after-dark religion. I've since retired my "Save Beatrice" shirt, but Trullie isn’t just the typical it-girl-who-lives-for-nightlife type; she’s a hair-whipping/losing her mind rock n’ roll machine onstage! In other words: go and get your iTunes on because her full-length self-titled debut album finally arrives next Tuesday!
Katy Perry wears bindi visiting India and Gwen Stefani wears bindi to the 1998 VMAs.

We've felt the subtle breeze of a '90s revival in the air for a few seasons now, but never has its presence been so ubiquitous as now. From jumpsuits and chokers to waist-tied flannel shirts and now, FACE JEWELRY à la Katy Perry's bindi this week, we're pretty sure the resurgence of the dawn of the Information Age has officially reached full-steam. I mean, we know Katy was visiting India where bindis are commonly worn regardless of the era or fashion statement, but seeing her rocking it with her blue hair took us back to a young Gwen Stefani circa 1998 No Doubt. We saw a bit more of an exaggerated version late last year when both Ke$ha and Lady Gaga sported something we affectionately deemed "cupcake face", but face jewelry was particularly unavoidable on the Fall/Winter 2012 runways.
Azealia Banks on Feb. 25 and Diplo on Oct. 12.

Azealia Banks is becoming quite the staple performer at fash-related events, and we're so on board. Over the weekend she dropped her newest track "F*** Up The Fun" at Chanel's newest pop-up shop celebration in Tokyo, and we can't stop playing this bass-heavy song on repeat! The single was produced by MTV Style favorite Diplo, and not only are we pumped that she debuted a new song (!!!) but we're also digging her growing importance in the fashion world. She made her couture debut at the Mugler Fall 2012 men's show, where she unleashed her track "Bambi." Since then, she's made an appearance at Karl Lagerfeld's house party (that's right—the place where Uncle Karl lives) and Kanye West's Paris Fashion Week after show.
Rihanna in New York on March 18 and in Malibu, Calif. on March 21.

We're always looking for new (and cute!) ways to wear our hair when we're in a hurry, so when we spotted Rihanna's latest head accessory game, we were inspired by her '40s bandana up-do. On Sunday in NYC, she sported a traditional black paisley bandana with pitch black sunnies, bold red lipstick, a Givenchy orchid tee, and varsity jacket. We like how she channels a badass Rosie the Riveter look with her bright pout and a bit of her bangs peeking out of the front. In Malibu yesterday, she went a little more girly with her headgear and sported a white and pink chiffon polka dot scarf with a beige knit top and tons of gold accessories. She kept her gorge red matte lips the same but added a bit of glamor to her bandana by tying in a Chanel logo charm at the bow. It adds a little extra sparkle to her look, which we love! Also, we need to steal this idea ASAP.
Dakota Fanning, Rose Byrne, and Lucy Hale at "Cosmopolitan"magazine's Fun Fearless Men and Women of 2012 Awards in New York on March 5.

Despite the freezing weather outside, it looks like spring has arrived in NYC! Dakota Fanning, Rose Byrne, and Lucy Hale all opted for soft pastel dresses at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Awards last night, and now we officially can't wait for the warmer weather to roll in. Dakota looked '60s chic in a structured cutout lavender Miu Miu spring 2012 RTW frock. She paired her simple shift with nude patent leather pointy heels, a silver sequin clutch, a couple of statement rings, and a black ribbon headband. We LOVE her super thick cat eyes with her center-parted blonde hair and nude lips. It's sooo age-appropriate sex kitten.
