Shailene Woodley

Shaliene Woodley on the cover of 'Marie Claire.'

There are still four more tortuous days until Divergent hits theaters, but we're becoming increasingly confident that Shailene Woodley is going to totally nail the role of Tris. The latest evidence comes in the form of her new Marie Claire interview, in which she talks openly and confidently about herself AND models some bold, hard-to-pull-off clothes. On the cover, Shailene wears Tommy Hilfiger pants and a swimsuit with cutouts and zippers, and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she decided to swim in the Olympics in this and then won. #sportyspice

Beyonce backstage in London.
Photo: Beyonce's Tumblr

“I don’t think you’re ready for this jumpsuit” is what Beyonce could be singing during her Mrs. Carter Show tour, if she felt like riffing off the lyrics to “Bootylicious.” This sparkly nude number is the latest addition to Queen Bey’s ever-expanding killer wardrobe. It isn’t exactly the most nude thing we’ve seen Mrs. Carter in—the molded Blonds bodysuit she’s been wearing on stage is a frontrunner—but it is the closest we’ve seen Bey come to Britney’s iconic glittering nude suit from “Toxic” and, man, is she pulling it off.

Rita Ora Pucci Today

Rita Ora's Pucci tour outfits, from the sketches (left) to the real thing.
Photo: via Splash News/ @EmilioPucci Twitter

Rita Ora is officially on tour, y'all, and spoiler alert—she's looking GREAT. A few days ago we heard that the U.K. singer would be outfitted for her Radioactive Tour by Emilio Pucci designer Peter Dundas, and now we've got your first look of the creations in their COMPLETE onstage glory. Alongside her opener Iggy Azalea, Rita kicked off the tour yesterday with a sold-out show in Manchester. She slayed the part of a futuristic space goddess in Pucci's custom metallic military-inspired bodice and shimmery silver pants, which all take cues from the label's Spring/Summer 2013 collection...but with a pop star twist, of course.

Beyonce sings "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama.
Photo: Getty Images

You guys watched Beyonce's national anthem performance for President Barack Obama's 2013 Inauguration Ceremony, right? We expected to be blown away by Bey's celebratory "Star-Spangled Banner," but very little could have been done to prepare us for the complete and total leveling she would do on that inaugural stage. Her performance itself was an elegant balance of staying true to the melody and to her own voice, with flourishes in all the right places and all that patented Beyonce POWER soaring notes up, electrifying the air above the Capitol and throughout the National Mall. Accordingly, her performance ensemble echoed that symmetry of taste. Bey appeared both reverent and glamorous in her National Anthem outfit from the top of her expertly coiffed head to the bottom of her floor-length gown.

Rita Ora

Listen, everyone here at MTV Style is already WELL acquainted with the sartorial magic of Rita Ora (um hi, this girl is literally the epitome of "IT," whatever "it" is...) But now it seems the singer has captured The New York Times under her sparkly spell, too, and it's about time. She's the subject of a new feature aptly entitled "From England, Fashion’s Latest Darling," in which the paper proclaims her as a "flamboyant breed of English rose" with a star shining SO bright, she would "probably be able to find a spotlight in Antarctica." Congrats, guys! Glad to see you've decided to join us on the Rita Ora fan bandwagon. While the interview does cover some well-tread territory- like the fact that she wears sneakers, a lot- it's also chock full of unexpected gems, like how she hangs her collection of red handbags on her wall at home and how she worships at the style temple of Daphne Guinness. So how much do you to REALLY know about Rita Ora? Check out our 5 interview takeaways below and find out...

Rita Ora went from wearing a custom Pucci jumpsuit to a white feathered mermaid style gown to present at the VMAs.

We've already sung many praises for Rita Ora's custom, super sparkly Pucci jumpsuit since we first clapped eyes on it on the VMA red carpet yesterday. Besides being unbelievably lavish and completely perfect for Rita, the partially sheer jumper was also part of a lace and sheer trend that we're totally planning to incorporate into our own wardrobes this fall. We thought she had reached--no pun intended--sheer sartorial perfection, but then the show started and she came on stage to present the award for Best Male Video and. We. Died. Rita had changed out of her jumpsuit and into a GORG Stephane Rolland couture gown in a pure, angelic white, with black harness-style detailing and feathered shoulders. It's basically the most amazing dress we have ever seen. We're also totally into the fact that Rita wore makeup that could transition between the two totally different looks. Maybe she just couldn't decide which one to wear? We wouldn't have been able to either. Watch Rita's interview with Red Carpet Report host Holland Roden and get the low down, and a closer look, on her red carpet outfit.

Rita Ora Nicki Minaj VMA

Here's the thing—celebs REALLY love sheer bodysuits (see: Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez) and on tonight's VMA red carpet, some of our favorite ladies kept with tradition. Rita Ora and Nicki Minaj both opted for sleek, curve-hugging onesies that had a hint (OK, a buttload) of sex appeal. Rita sported a completely blinged-out custom Pucci number that left us totally speechless. I mean, first off—that is a one deep V, friends. Her sheer black panel extended all the way past her belly button and the rest of her body was totally covered up in sparkly adornments. She paired her show-stopping ensemble with black Christian Louboutin pumps, Cartier jewelry and a matching clutch. She kept her beauty look equally as glam by sporting retro blonde waves with deep burgundy lip and cat eyeliner.

Pink Miley Cyrus VMA

Whoa, are we seeing double? We couldn't BELIEVE how similar singers P!nk and Miley Cyrus looked on the 2012 VMA red carpet! P!nk (the newest face of CoverGirl and Video Music Awards performer) rocked an olive sequin Stella McCartney gown with a sky-high platinum bouffant and shaved sides. Miley, who recently chopped off all her locks, dolled up her sheer black Pucci gown with the exact same hairdo! Both ladies even opted for statement earrings sans necklaces with their gown, plus their beauty game was also totally on-twin. (You know, our new phrase for being on-trend twins.) They sported thick black liner with mile-long lashes, creamy blush, and soft nude lips. Me-ow. But, of course, we have to ask—which beauty look did you like best? Tell us in the comments below!

Ashley Greene

WHERE shall I even fail to begin to describe my/the MTV Style HQ/the universe's obsession with Ashley Greene? For sartorial-friendly starters, I often find myself on a lonely Saturday evening exclusively viewing Greene's scenes in Twilight whilst my mug is smeared in a overpriced clay mask in an attempt to emulate her immaculate superhuman skin glow. Weekday lunch breaks usually involve Google image searches ("Ashley Greene + Face of DKNY", "Ashley Green + front row at Donna Karan", "Ashley Greene leaving the gym remaining perpetually uh-mazing"). I must confess, excessive droolage on my Macbook happens. Another newsflash: I nearly collapsed last night, and it had nothing to do with the oppressive New York heat wave. Ms. Greene played hostest-with-the-mostess enviable designer-filled closet/skin/life for Samsung Mobile's launch of the Samsung Galaxy SIII (Call me on that Samsung, maybe/def, Ash.). As I inappropriately schvitzed away in my acid-wash DIY daisy dukes—for which Greene complimented me (thx, girl!)—I attempted to pull myself together to chit-chat with her over the blaring beats courtesy of Swedish House Mafia's Sebastian Ingross and surprise guest performer, Skrillex (!!!). The Pucci-perfection clad Greene filled me in on fantasies of playing dress-up with Katy Perry and Debbie Harry (*dead*) and tips on attempting to be as drop dead gorgeous as her. Hint: less is more. Take notes, dear readers.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge at the 2011 BAFTA Brits To Watch Event in Los Angeles, California, on July 9, 2011.

The BAFTAs, which stands for the British Academy of Film and Television Awards, may have been held in February but their "Brits to Watch Award" event, hosted by none other than Prince William and Kate Middleton during their whirlwind California tour, remind us that the folks from across the pond can hold it down on the red carpet against Hollywood's most sparkly ladies.

Dressed like a goddess in her cinch-waisted Alexander McQueen (who does soft and gentle as well as he does brusque and angular, and is almost the de facto designer for the duchess), Kate embodied royalty the same way that Princess Grace once did. Word on the street is that her neutral shoes are Jimmy Choos, which is an applause-worthy choice. Hollywood starlets could do black or even shimmery with this dress, but Kate’s pale turn is appropriately regal.

At first glance, Blake Lively, provided lively (erm) competition in the queenly realm (see what we did there?) but upon really studying her Marchesa gown, it’s clear she went for a totally different vibe. Sure, there is a femininity and composure to her swooped dress, but the one shoulder is subtly sensual. The draped trail and gauzy layer provide a drama that may not be fit for a queen...but definitely looks gorgeous on the red carpet.

Though maybe not appropriate for a visit to Buckingham Palace, Jennifer Lopez’s belly-baring dress reminds us that ladies do indeed run the world. The dress comes from the same collection as the green Pucci Beyoncé rocked with combat boots in her "Run The World (Girls)" music video. This full-length gown opts for cutouts that reveal glimpses of Jennifer Lopez’s legendary (and still bangin’) bod and one ornately sequined sleeve. J. Lo is still sexy without being over the top.
