K Pop group Girls' Generation leaves "The Late Show with David Letterman."

Welp, I think the image above just confirms that two of 2011's most impactful debuts—K Pop and SpiritHoods—aren't going anywhere any time soon. In fact, they're only growing in ubiquity. South Korean female supergroup Girls' Generation made its American network television debut on last night's Late Show with David Letterman and flat out kiiiiiilled an Anglo remix of their hit single "The Boys". All nine Girls hit Pussycat Dolls meets Spice Girls choreography HARD in black lace and sequins and patent knee-high boots with heels. They performed their faces off and left it all on the Late Show stage while Superbowl-costumed Bill Murray and Regis Philbin looked on from the sideline. After their milestone performance, they hit the road, this time conquering a different kind of pop star staple: the furry animal hood.

Kreayshawn for "V" magazine.

If you frequent our corner of the internet here at MTV Style (which you totally should if you don't already), it's very likely that no single piece of the image above surprises you. Not Kreayshawn. Not the classically light-flooded glamorous and yet somehow vulnerable shooting style of Terry Richardson. Not even the furry leopard print SpiritHood. What should tickle your brain a little is the grand total sum of them all in this one glorious photograph featured as part of V magazine's Music Issue.

Kreayshawn poses in a leopard ski mask.
Photo: Courtesy of Kreayshawn's Instagram

Good thing she has her trademark telephone push-button tatts visible, else we'd have a pretty hard time identifying this masked girl as Oakland's sweetheart Kreayshawn. Well, that is, if we didn't also take a closer look at those undeniable eyeliner skills. We're no strangers to the animal hat/SpiritHood trend, but this curveball leopard ski mask steeze is taking things to a new level of banonkers. Unlike the feline styles sported by the likes of Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, and Jared Leto that just sit like furry trapper hats that happen to have ears, Kreay's knit face warmer not only has ears, but it also covers eeeeeverything but her eyes, supplying her not only with warmth (something which would've come in handy during this weekend's bizarro flash blizzard/nor'easter) but also provides a little more visibility than Ke$ha's face-hugging spirit animal.

Jessie J and Nicki Minaj wear animal hoods.

If there's one thing in life of which I'm certain, it's that the animal hood craze will never die. There will always be girls—and guys (we see you, Jared Leto!)—eager to sport furry ears and a cute little animal face on their heads. A year ago, we caught Khloe Kardashian and Ke$ha facing off in SpiritHoods. Now we're debating between two favorites, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj, both of whom recently took a walk on the wild side.

Who is the cuddly little furry hiding behind these mitts?
Photo: Terry Richardson/TerrysDiary.com

This was my EXACT train of thought when seeing this photo: hoods with animal ears!!! Plaid paws!!! Furry things on human beings!!! People using animal paws to hide their eyes!!! Who the heck is this Cuteface McCuterson?! I MUST KNOW NOW. And then I resorted to ogling WAY TOO LONG at even more pics of this amazingness, which may or may not have been followed by some internet stalkage.

Rawrrrr!!!! Khloe Kardashian and Ke$ha took their love of animal print to the extreme when both ladies recently wore a faux fur hat by SpiritHoods, a company specializing in hats that mimic your favorite furry friends. Khloe kept warm in New York this week in the 'Fox' style, which she paired with a black coat and over-the-knee boots, while Ke$ha rocked the 'Leopard' version during a performance in the Big Apple earlier this summer (both hats are available online for $129 each on SpiritHoods.com). The two fashionistas looked fab in the bold accessory, but we think Ke$ha won this style matchup. The rest of the singer's glittery, torn outfit matched the fun feeling of the hood, and let's remember this girl loves to say she's like an Animal all the time. But what do you think?

It's Halloween week! And here at MTV Style, we're psyched about it! That's why we're focusing on the hottest diva costumes of the year. Yesterday, we showed you how to dress like Nicki Minaj. Today, let's take a look at another one of our faves: Ke$ha. Cheers to glitter, trash bags, and face paint! Here are five ways to dress like Ke$ha:

1. CUT, SLASHED, AND ALL TORN UP

This is Ke$ha's signature look: denim cutoff shorts, a vintage T-shirt that she cut up herself, black combat boots, and various forms of studs all over her clothes. So, pull out your summer clothes and go for it! Take a T-shirt (any tee will work) and start slashing it all over (note the scissors above). Then, pull out some denim shorts (or pants, and cut 'em off), and pull on some combat boots. You're set to go! For added Ke$ha flavor, sew on some gold studs to your shorts and top.
+ T-Shirt: Metallica Harvester Black T-shirt ($16.95)
+ Shorts: Tribal Embroidered Denim Shorts ($18.90)
+ Studs: 1/2" Gold Pyramid Studs ($6.00 for 100)
+ Boots: Steve Madden Abee Lace-Up Boot ($249.95)

2. GLITTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

There's nothing that Ke$ha loves more than glitter. She lathers the shiny stuff all over her body for all of her performances, and many of her red carpet appearances. She wears glitter so much that if you do nothing else but put glitter on your face for Halloween, we're fully convinced that you can call yourself Ke$ha without question. If you want to take her look one step further, get yourself a spirit hood (or a hat that looks like the head of an animal) and make your Ke$ha costume undoubtedly official.
+ Glitter: Hot Topic Sequin Body Glitter in Silver and Gold ($3.99 each)
+ Animal Hoods: Leopard SpiritHood ($129.00) / Cheap Alternative: Leopard Animal Hat ($31.99)

3. SIMPLE AND EFFORTLESS MASKS

Ke$ha surprised many by wearing a tiger mask when she visited a salon in New York City over the summer. If you wanted an easy superstar costume of your own that's under $10, this is it.
+ Mask: Deluxe Tiger Mask ($8.99)

4. TRASH BAG CHIC.

The trash bag-inspired outfit Ke$ha wore to the 2010 Video Music Awards this year could be totally do-it-yourself. Grab some black trash bags (the hefty ones, so they're not see-through!) and cut leg, arm, and head holes into one. Drape it around your body and cinch it tight with tape or a belt. Then, all you need are the accessories: a feather boa, cross earrings, and a turquoise ring.
+ Bags: Ultra Tuf Black Trash Bags ($4.99)
+ Boa: Deluxe Large Black Feather Boa ($2.41)
+ Earrings: Lucky Brand Hammered Hoop Cross Earrings ($35.00)
+ Ring: Bita Pourtavoosi Big Turquoise Chunk Ring ($50.00)

5. DON'T FORGET THE FACE PAINT!

Ke$ha's must-haves are glitter and .... FACE PAINT!!! So, don't forget it, even if you are wearing glitter. Grab some costume makeup so you can pull primary colors (rather than drugstore makeup) and paint animal-inspired looks on your face — slashes, stripes around the eyes, stars. Go all out.
+ Makeup: Mattese Elite Stage Makeup Wheel ($14.99)

Would you dress up as Ke$ha for Halloween?
