Evan Rachel Wood Venice Film Festival.

If there was anyone who held a gigantic fashion beacon of light at the Venice Film Festival, it had to be Evan Rachel Wood, who made quite the statement by choosing to wear nothing but black and white. Looking like a cross between a classic film star and a French New Wave starlet, she evoked a sense of modern glamour every time she stepped onto the red carpet. She also kept the trend going during the day, going so far as to kick out a suit with matching-hued houndstooth pumps. How many young Hollywood stars wear the exact same colors appearance after appearance yet manage to keep each look exciting? Not many, people! It's a BOLD choice for sure (even a cheeky one when you think about it), but much like her penchant for eye-raising paramours (hi, Marilyn Manson, who's probably totally reading this right now), we think Evan Rachel Wood's style is both dramatic and inspirational. Also? We can mimic it on a modest budget.

The Venice Film Festival always brings out the most glamorous of gowns, and this year's festival — number 67!!! — was no different. It just wrapped up last week, so we've sorted through all of the gorgeous gowns and narrowed them down to our top six favorite looks. Here they are ...

Jessica Alba and Natalie Portman.

1. Jessica Alba in Valentino
Jessica Alba turned heads with a stunning black Valentino dress at the Machete premiere. Its super-short front and cascading train looked gorgeous. In a smart move, she kept accessories simple with black lace-up Salvatore Ferragamo sandals and hoop earrings.

2. Natalie Portman in Rodarte
Natalie Portman opted for a bolder hue, wearing a red dress at the premiere of her upcoming film, Black Swan. We can’t help but wonder if her decision to wear this beautiful beaded Rodarte had anything to do with the Rodarte sisters designing some of the film’s fabulous costumes.

Elle Fanning and Sofia Coppola.

3. Elle Fanning in Marc Jacobs
The lovely ladies of the new movie Somewhere did their best to represent Marc Jacobs. The film's star, Elle Fanning (Dakota Fanning’s little sis), wore a blue pastel appliqué dress from the designer’s Resort 2011 collection with a pair of Mary-Janes.

4. Sofia Coppola in Louis Vuitton
While the Somewhere star wore Marc Jacobs, so did the film's director, Sofia Coppola, only in Louis Vuitton form (Marc Jacobs designs the LV label, too!). She chose a black dress designed by the designer (who happens to be a long time friend, lucky girl!), from his Louis Vuitton Resort 2011 line.

5. Michelle Williams in Jason Wu
As for our favorite beige dress, Michelle Williams's Jason Wu gown definitely stood out at the premiere of her new movie, Meek's Cutoff. From Michelle’s sideswiped bangs to the pretty bow detailing on her dress, this super feminine style really worked.

6. Paz Vega in Gucci
Paz Vega’s cowl neck number by Gucci was our favorite metallic look, a gown she wore to the premiere of her new film, Vallanzasca - Gli Angeli del Male. Also, the way she styled it — with sleek, straight hair and a single gold bangle bracelet — pulled the look together so it was fancy, but not overdone.

Jessica Alba Valentino clutch

Jessica Alba wore a strapless gray dress with a yellow organza hemline from Valentino's fall couture collection to a kickoff for the Venice Film Festival in Italy yesterday. While trying to replicate her couture look may be out of reach, the metallic pewter snakeskin clutch Jessica Alba carried — also by Valentino — isn't. Looking to bag that sparkle at a prettier price? Check out the Style&co. Cloud Clutch ($34), which comes in a metallic silver and has an almost identical sheen to Jessica's. For something under $10, go for Forever 21's cute rectangular asymmetrical front clutch (it’s $9.80!). Or pick up Lauren Merkin’s Diana Metallic Bubble Clutch ($195), which has a great metallic shimmer in a rounded envelope shape. Best part? It also comes with a detachable strap, so you can convert it into the perfect crossbody carryall for your next concert.

+ Price: $9.80, $34, $195.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
